Anisacanthus quadrifidus var wrightii or Hummingbird Bush, also known as Texas Firecracker. This upright deciduous shrub grows 4-5 feet tall and wide with a rounded irregular shape, and summer through fall shows off these bright red tubular flowers. Plant in full sun and sandy soil. As the name suggests, they attract hummingbirds! Drought tolerant plant once established. Hardy in zones 7 to 11
