The Chameleon plant, also known as fish mint, lizard tail, fish wort, and rainbow plant, is a rhizomatus perennial plant that grows 9 to 15" tall. The aromatic variegated leaves, with shades of yellow, green, cream, red and pink, make a dramatic appearance as ground cover in aquatic gardens, bordering ponds, and in areas that abut a structure, or also look great in containers. Since it spreads via rhizomes, it spreads vigorously, so it will need to be planted in areas that won't allow it to spread too much. This plant can tolerate heavy shade, but for maximum color and variegation, it will need full to part sun. Hardy in zones 4-10. These plants are growing in 3.5-inch pots.
