This drought and heat tolerant annual, also called Moss Rose, Rock Rose Sun Rose, Purslane, is a low growing and spreading, usually 3-12 inches tall and 6 to 24 inches wide pop of gorgeous color for your garden. Used for borders and landscapes, slopes and hillsides, and container gardening, they are great for using as ground cover, bedding plants, containers and hanging baskets. This low maintenance, deer resistant, pest and disease free, although overwatering can cause powdery mildew should be planted in full sun, in fast draining soil. It likes dry conditions, but will flower best with some moisture.
