Also called Coral plant, this deciduous, branching, tropical shrub grows to four feet by five feet at maturity. It is a profuse bloomer of small, trailing red flowers on graceful, arching branches which give it a fountain-like look, or like fireworks. Plant in full sun, in well-draining soil. Perennial in zones 9a-11b. It can also be grown in containers and brought in for the winter to a bright and sunny spot. It does not do well outdoors at temperatures below 41 degrees F. Attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies. These are growing in 3.5-inch pots.
