Salvia guaranitica. This is a fragrant perennial subshrub, having an anise scent. Also called
anise-sented sage or hummingbird sage. It is a species of Salvia native to a wide area of South America, including Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Argentina. It grows to 5 ft tall where it is a perennial, spreading into a large patch through its spreading roots, but remains much sorter when grown as an annual. Plant in full to part shade. Hardy in zones 8-10.
