Justicia whitefielda elongata or Shrimp White Candles plant. This beautiful fast-growing tropical perennial Justicia plant grows to 3 feet and is suitable for shade. It has glossy green leaves and beginning in mid summer blooms these delicate spikes of small bright white flowers. It's a great choice for boundaries, background and along fences. Zones 9-11. Can be container-grown and brought in for the winter. I brought one of these in the house last winter, placed it in the glazed bathroom window that lets bright indirect sun in most of the day, and this plant did spectacular. It is pictured here in full blossom. These plants are growing in 3.5-inch, deep pots.
