Silverleaf Leucophyllum, also known as Texas Sage, Texas Ranger, Texas Barometer Bush, Cenicilla, Palo Cenizo, is an easy to care for, evergreen shrub that has an upright growth habit growing to 6 tall with a spread of 5 feet. Its small, fuzzy leaves are light silver-gray to green and its blossoms are small pink to purple. It is excellent for hedge rows, borders, ornamentals and even containers. It requires full to part sun, and low water. Drought tolerant, deer resistant, and attractive to hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. Hardy in Zones 8-11. In cooler climates, grown as an annual or in containers on a sunny patio or balcony to be brought in to a sunny spot for the winter.
